Philippine Inflation Rate for June 2012

Every month I’m dedicating a post about the inflation rate in the Philippines that happened in the previous month. It is a way for me and other people to be informed on the rise of consumer prices in the the country.

Knowing and understanding inflation is very important because it will give you an idea on how the price of products and services are changing over the time. Inflation rate can give a good indication on the economic status of a country and the areas within the country.

For June 2012, the inflation rate in the Philippines can be seen below. The information came from the data of National Statistics Office.

As you can see in the table, the inflation was lower in June by 0.1% for the whole Philippines and areas outside the National Capital Region. While in NCR, the inflation rate remained unchanged.
