by Gil on December 20, 2012

Regularly I’m writing topics in this blog related to the inflation rate happened in the past month. Information about inflation and inflation rate is very important for every people to be known.

Inflation affects our daily lives in some extent each day since you and I spend money from the things we buy. Inflation takes its part in our life though we may not notice it.

Below you can see the inflation rate for November 2012 in the whole Philippines, the areas outside National Capital Region and in Metro Manila. You will also see the inflation rate in October 2012 and the year-to-date inflation for 2012.

Year-on-Year Inflation Rates, All Items
November 2012 October 2012 Year-to-date
  Philippines
     Headline 2.8 3.1 3.2
     Core 3.4 3.6 3.7
  NCR
     Headline 2.6 2.9 2.9
  AONCR
    Headline 2.9 3.3 3.3

The inflation rate for November is lower than October by 0.3% which is a good indication for consumers like you and me. The prices of commodities and services are decreasing even though the Christmas and New Year season is approaching. I am assuming that this month of December 2012, the inflation rate would be higher than in November because of the increase in demand for many products especially for the the food and gifts to be given this holiday season.
